Organised by the Marlow Chamber of Trade & Commerce
Partnering with Marlow Town Council & Buckinghamshire Council

It’s been a gruelling year. And with Christmas now just around the corner, this is
the last opportunity for many local businesses to make the most of 2020.
Responding to recent surveys, we are therefore pleased to announce the launch
of our BUY LOCAL campaign: `Make it a Marlow Christmas’.
The campaign pulls together a number of events and business initiatives under a
single banner. With due regard for the Covid-19 guidelines, we want to reinforce
the message that local is good, encourage the community to buy local, shop local and source local - and generate as much interest for local businesses as we can.
UPDATE: The original plan for this local campaign was impacted by the late imposition of a 4 week lockdown just a week after launch. However, it does include the following:
Best dressed Christmas Window competition - for retail and hospitality
Best dressed ‘Google my Business’ competition - for everyone
Three Saturdays of free parking, funded by Buckinghamshire Council
All under the festive light display, courtesy of our own Marlow Town Council and their generous sponsors
How to get involved
Promotion of this campaign on social media, local radio and press will begin early
in November, with the main push once the Christmas lights are switched on.
To find out more, including our countdown to Christmas timetable, where your
business can best be involved and to make sure you have the chance to be a
part of it, please register your interest as soon as possible, here on our website:

And if you have any questions or suggestions as to how we could enhance the
campaign , please don’t hesitate to let us know via our contact page.

*Please note: As distinct from Marlow’s Traditional Late Night Shopping evening, which has been cancelled for 2020, this is a proposal to coordinate and advertise extended opening hours for shopping in Marlow’s town centre on one or two specific dates. Covid-19 guidelines will still apply.
