COMPETITOR AND CUSTOMER INFORMATION
People and companies increasingly search online for services and products and seek online reviews of them to aid their purchase decisions. Even if they have been referred to a company, they will subsequently check out their online presence and reputation. The web is a competitive rather than absolute world: Therefore where SME stand relative to other similar size companies in their locality is highly relevant. For no charge, your company can obtain: 1. Unique information on the web usage of local companies of a similar size. This will include volume of website visitors, number of visitors finding the website by natural search, social media use, website effectiveness and email marketing use. N.B. Numerous similar studies have been carried out the whole of the UK and all size of business: It is however believed that this is the first focussed on SMEs and the (greater) Thames Valley. 2. A 22 page report by eMarketer ( a top market research company) on 2010 Internet Marketing Trends in UK & Europe. To see the calibre of the second report, please click the link that follows to download a copy of the 2009 equivalent. All you need to do to obtain this information is to complete the online web usage survey (click link) at any time between now and 15th October inclusive: People who have already completed the survey say that it took them no more than 5 minutes. None of your companies individual responses or details will be passed to any third party.
At the request of a Chamber member, October's article will be about growing online communities
