The Christmas lights in Marlow are much admired by residents and visitors alike but to keep these up to date and maintained we pay Wycombe District Council a considerable amount of money. This also ensures that we have the future “pick of the decorations” for Marlow.

Without the financial help of local residents and businesses we are unable to guarantee these decorations and are therefore requesting donations in order that we can ensure future Christmas lights for Marlow. Without your help Marlow could be in darkness at Christmas.

We are inviting schools to help us raise money by the pupils ‘buying a bulb’ for £1. So far we have received a kind donation from Frieth C of E School and St Peters R C and Foxes Piece schools are taking part.

Collection boxes for making donations are available in The Information Centre, High Street, Hunts of Marlow, Station Road, The Quad Club at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Burgers in the Causeway and The Prince of Wales Public House, Station Road.

At the time of going to press, we have received donations from Burgers, LGP Solicitors, Colston Bush, Richardson Jones, Mulady Solutions, Andrew Milsom and Partners, G R Greenhous Esq, Harringtons, Mekong, ABC Book Keeping and Accounting Services Ltd and The Compleat Angler Hotel – many thanks.

These are difficult economic times but it would be such a shame if Marlow was left in darkness. For more information on the Christmas lights visit the Chamber website
