Membership Benefits Enhanced but being Underutilised
Enhancement
Members entries in the Chamber website are already being found when people search for company or contact names. But the potential for them being found when people visit the website has recently been enhanced in three ways:
- The website is now ranked more highly in relevant Google searches
- Additional functionality has been added so that members pages can have member specific content in two 'tags' important in internet marketing - the title tag and the description meta tag
- The Membership section of the website now has a membership search page to explain to visitors how to find Marlow Chamber member companies which offer the services / products which they seek
Underutilised
Many members are not fully utilising the website entry opprtunities offered to them by virtue of Chamber membership. The top priority should be to take full advantage of all the Membership Directory has to offer. Subsequently members could consider requesting the entry in the website of:
- A featured member article
- An offer specific to other Chamber members
- A member contribution article - to flag some company specific news or promotion
Further Details
A more detailed description of membership directory opportunities and the website's new higher search rankings can be found in the September Web Wise article. |
