25 Years of Late Night Shopping
Posted on December 1st, 2017
Join us as we get you – and the town of Marlow – into the festive spirit
Thursday 7th December sees Marlow High Street play host to the Marlow Chamber of Trade & Commerce’ 25th Late Night Shopping Event.
Santa Claus, Peppa Pig, Darth Vadar and his favourite Storm Trooper will all be there to celebrate this landmark year.
As ever, Marlow’s shops will be open, an array of commercial & charity stalls will be set up and all the festive trimmings of such an event will be on hand.
And with the High Street closed to cars (from 1.30pm to allow the preparation activities and for stalls to be set up), the atmosphere will start to build from very early in the afternoon.
What to expect
The event itself then kicks of at 6.00pm. And this year, the entertainment opens with a carol service. Musicians from Great Marlow School will be joined by the choirs from local primary schools. And this will then be followed by a procession of nativity scene players and their animals.
That’s not it. We have entertainment & events lined up to fill the whole evening, all designed to get you in the festive spirit while you break the back of your present shopping.
- Santa Claus and his elf in the grotto for children
(with costumes kindly sponsored by Joliffe’s)
- Our very own Reindeer
- Razzamataz, the local children’s singing group
- Carols from Marlow Amateur Operatic Society
- Marlow FM broadcasting live and
- Traditional Christmas tunes from the Salvation Army Band
Plus, of course, many of our local shops – on the High St, in Liston Court, on West St and on Spittal St – will all stay open until 9.00pm.
We look forward to seeing you there. And if you would like to get directly involved, or need further details, please do not hesitate to contact Jo Braybrooke on email@example.com, or call 07789 175838.Previous post in category ·
