MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETING HELD
Marlow Rowing Club
MONDAY 21st May 2018 – 6PM
- Welcome by the President
- Minutes of last meeting – signed as true record
- New Members : Dormouse Designs and Novo Real – AGREED
- Presentations by Wycombe District Council (Cllr. Katrina Wood) on the benefits of a north and south unitary authority and Bucks County Council (Cllr. Martin Tett) on the benefits of a single unitary authority.After both presentations were made there followed a lively question and answer session. Those in attendance were asked by a show of hands as to which authority they preferred but this was split evenly and it was noted that it was down to individuals to make representation to the Secretary of State.
Parking – The President expressed the thanks of the Chamber to Cllr. Jocelyn Towns for the sterling work she has put in with regard to the parking in Marlow, in particular the proposed meter parking in the High Street.
Marlow Bridge – Cllr. Alex Collingwood stated that Transport for Bucks is reassessing the size of the bollards on Marlow Bridge with a view to making it more obstructive for larger vehicles. He also mentioned that charging points were in operation on The Causeway for charging of electric vehicles.
Pub in the Park – Cllr. Collingwood requested feedback and comments from businesses in the town with regard to Pub in the Park.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.20pm followed by networking.
