MARLOW & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF TRADE & COMMERCE
MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETING HELD AT CHEZ GERRARD RESTAURANT MONDAY 19TH APRIL 2010 – 6PM
There were 29 members present.  Welcome by Annie Mulady – Vice President of the Chamber  Minutes of last meeting – signed as a true record  Presentation of Prize – April Fool Trail - the Vice President presented the first prize of a large jar of sweets, donated by “Beehive†- retailer in Spittal Street. The prize went to Ellie, Samuel and Noah Towers-Goodman. A photo was taken for the web site and the press. 2nd prize (voucher from Mekong Boutique) goes to the Kebtane Family of Windsor and 3rd prize (gift from Mekong Boutique) goes to Sara Helin of Marlow. An entry had been received from a family from Milton Keynes who had come to join in the trail.  Chez Gerrard - A short presentation was then given by Emily of Chez  Gerrard.  First Responders -A short presentation was given by Graham Innes of First Responders who gave details of the way this organisation was set up and the speed at which they can arrive at an incident to give help, which saves many lives. The Vice President was pleased to announce that so far 14 businesses had signed up for the Virtual Tour of Marlow. Anyone requiring further details should contact Duncan Curtis on www.estatevue.com/platform/uk/marlow/  The Vice President informed the meeting that members might get an e-mail asking them to confirm their subscription - it is not a scam it is the Chamber cleansing the website and ensuring the information is correct and with no duplications.  The Secretary thanked the Chamber for their participation in signing the petition for the maintenance of Marlow Bridge. 1000 signatures had been received and she was pleased to announce that Bucks County Council had today announced that £60,000 had been found towards this project. However there was some doubt as to the full cost of repairs etc. and the petition would be presented to BCC on Thursday by Cllr. Richard Scott.  The meeting closed at 6.45pm This was followed by the kind hospitality of Chez Gerrard Next meeting – May 17th – Compleat Angler Hotel
